Ad Sanctum members of Daoine Sidhe,Our community is moving onwards towards its renewed focus on care for the people in DS and care for their qualities. We have been walking this road for over two years now, and the agenda for 2009 was posted in January. A sign of looking ahead, of planning ahead.
Seven items were chosen as leading issues for 2009, each of which will be explained in the newsletter.
1. Safeguarding Daoine Sidhe's internal organisation
A logical task for 2009 is to ensure that the structure of our community, that was completely revised over the past two years, remains in tact. This structure is the backbone of Daoine Sidhe’s success now and in the future, as without it the community would be unable to stick to a solid strategy. Daoine Sidhe’s structure has three levels.
The Community Council determines Daoine Sidhe’s strategy and intervenes from a management perspective when threats to this strategy are found on the way.
Division management is in charge of Daoine Sidhe’s divisions. Division leaders and their officers ensure that recruitment takes place, game related activities are organised, and so forth. They are the connection between the games and the community.
The taskforces each have a specific goal that relates to strengthening the bond between members and the community. Innovation of DS, Member Involvement, Training for DS members, and Communication (like through the newsletter); these are the fields on which the taskforces operate.
Together they keep Daoine Sidhe organised and ensure that success is a realistic goal, not just a dream.
