Words of the king

Ad Sanctum members of Daoine Sidhe,

It has been over six years since I last wrote a message as King of Daoine Sidhe. I stepped down then, for I experienced no challenges anymore in the duties I had as supreme leader. I remember this feeling well, the belief that ‘my people’ had become able to guide themselves. Now, with mixed feelings I look back at the period I took my distance from DS. Once trustworthy members burned out and DS went through a period of major instability. DS suffered, suffered dearly until it had nearly faded away.

There is no way to make right in the present what was done wrong in the past. DS will have a black gap in its history that covers a period of inactivity and carelessness. But we must live in the present. This coming from the founder who observed it all, may it serve as a sign to all of the elders in DS and call for their return. Upon my own return, I made a long term plan for DS to recover. And much has changed since then. The restoration of the Sidhe, the reorganizing of DS command, the new divisions. It lead to a new generation of members that DS can truly be proud of. The schedule for 2009 was recently posted in the Tavern. Many will not be interested in this writing, that is a choice I respect. However, I see the greater picture and do exactly that what others don’t. For it is needed. Thus I was asked to become King again, leader of DS and through that evermore dependent of my dear girlfriend’s patience. Emania, your cups of tea while I write something for the newsletter are priceless.
