Gaming News
In this brand new feature, we bring you some highlights of last month’s gaming news. I’ve picked some highlights that at least vaguely have something to do with DS. Here’s this months selections:Achievements in World Of Warcraft:
On the 17th of July 2008, Blizzard announced that the coming WoW expansion pack The Wrath of the Lich King, will contain Achievements that can be gained by players. Further details here.
Starcraft MMO?!
There have been rumors about a Starcraft MMO for a long time, and now it seems to be confirmed. Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime also revealed that the reason they can’t say anything about said MMO is because of competitive reasons. We can only speculate exactly what about this new MMO it is that is so sensitive to the competition. Arguably, the Starcraft setting is somewhat similar to the Warcraft setting, so a “World of Starcraft” wouldn’t be hard to set up. But then again, with WoW still going strong, and Diablo III on the horizon (albeit only vaguely), it would not seem logical for Blizzard to release ‘more of the same’.
Fallout 4 announced:
Somewhere late July, Bethesda’s confirmed the existence of a Fallout 4 in the making.
"We didn't buy the Fallout franchise to just do Fallout 3 and then stop, but let's get this one out of the door before we worry about the next one.", he said. He also revealed that they preferred developing with the Xbox360 as their main platform, more details here.
C&C: Tiberium delayed:
Tiberium, the coming FPS in the C&C series has been delayed, the new release date is 2010.
