So, it was a night of june, an ordinary one as far as the lucky 10 were concerned. Ventured into the Citadel, yet again, having to start with Sindragosa. We disposed of the 'Queen of Frostbrood' pretty fast and easy, and onto the Lich King it was. It felt as if we were to stand face-to-face with another multi-hour wipe session.
It started out slow, reaching phase one and two with some minor difficulties, though eventually, wipe after wipe we progressed. Then again it was up to me to fail on a phase transition, so we/us/they/survivors/Dorus&the gang were left up there with just 9 brave souls.
Needless to say 2 ranged wasnt enough for the spirits, so another wipe. The fight was beginning to grow frustrating over everyone, eventually making mistakes now and then. I took it up to myself to fail on another phase transition to make people more angry.

So it was about 2 hours of wiping to Lich King, and people were losing faith in the fight. About then we got our best try to about 26%. Now Daoines were yet again fuelled to down this helmet-wearing goon, and so it was to be. Facing him for the 938485th time, the fight engaged. It was neat and tidy, even through the valkyrs and phase transitions(woot). Phase 3 arrived and that's when heads started to fly. Everyone was nervous about doing their bid right, yet the Lich King seemed unsettled about tasting Daoine Sidhe steel. His health was dropping rapidly by the hard blows through the axes, maces, swords, arrows and spells. I'm sure a few companions fell to some nasty spirit explosions at about 14% left. At which point it seemed most likely to just nuke the undeath out of him. Mayhem followed with everyone dealing blasts, strongest they could and Lich King was going down fast. So as he dropped to 10% he got REALLY angry and just wiped us with one blow.

Well, okay, he may have wiped us but Tirion, for once, did something useful, broke out of his icy cask, revived us, and we just utterly nuked the King. Nothing Arthas could do about it, cause he was just whirling in the air - probably of the awesomeness of tasting our mettle. Bloodlust kicked in and everyone was thirsty for his scalp. As the Lich King dropped, Daoine Sidhe raid finally got Kingslayer title'd and saw the cutscene for themselves!
It took a bad few weeks on wiping and nasty repair bills, but in the end it was worth to see him biting the dust.

So at that very cold top of the Citadel, stood the 10 that had taken his head for the toll of all those wipes.

All the world is not, of course, a stage, but the crucial ways in which it isn't, are not easy to specify. The report was written by Davyion. I just made a new topic out of it.
