AS everyone,

Due to a new job I will be less online.
All projects I'm already working on will stay until they're finished, being mainly the creation of Moira's new site, keeping the Sidhe in order, and implementing trainings for the taskforce Training. Last but not least I will also keep an eye on the upcoming recruitment update: the new join form is ready, our wishmasters just need to put it on the site.
The CC and the WK's will have to do without me for a longer period of time, which I hope will be no problem. As it concerns urgent matters they can of course contact me.

This marks the end of a period in which I worked serious overtime on repairing what was lost in DS throughout the period 2002-2006.
Begin 2007 I promised to work hard on restoring DS, in the role of Merlin from then on, and I mentioned it would take about 2 years to fully restore DS.
It is now almost september 2008 and I think the restoration project has been a success so far. Looking at the position DS came from, I consider this one of my better and more productive periods in life.
The Order of the Sidhe was saved from nothingness, the entire command structure of DS was revived, there are two operative divisions, and the implementation of the taskforces is going the right way. With a little goodwill from the wishmasters' side also the recruitment update will make DS a significantly better place.
With special thanks to everyone who worked along with me on the restoration of DS so far. Over time their number increased, and that is a good sign for DS as a whole.

A change of clanwide mentality will have to grow from now on, as this is the phase in which individual people let go of managing incidents only when they threaten DS, and work towards proactivity and planning a strategy for the clan's future.
Because of one simple reason: the gaming industry will not stop integrating gaming into Real Life. Games cost ever more real money, time management becomes ever more important, gamers expect more of services offered, and the gaming industry is trying hard to regulate all social contact in-game and concerning the game.
Gaming equals Real Life these days, it is less of a hobby and more of a way of life. Increasing commercialism and professionalism is what DS has to cope with in order to stay alive: leadership will have to be taken seriously.
Awareness of such developments will have to grow in DS, among leaders and members. They offer challenges that DS can very well deal with if only its people decide to take DS as seriously as it deserves; to take themselves as members of DS as seriously as they should.

I realise throughout the past two years I didn't always make friends, because the message I spread is quite confronting for a lot of people. But it is for the better, DS had fallen asleep and its people were letting it bleed to death.
No more, our clan is back on track.

I was asked to a tank with a pug.
The Mage, he fought like a slug.
the Rogue went crazy.
The healer got lazy.
And then I was squashed like a bug.

The dead know only one thing... It's better to be alive. Thank you for all your hard work Ray! Needless to say we couldn't have done it without you
