The Commandments

Rayendir Sidhe
Basic Rules
- Members should always be ready to help each other in times of need. They should trust each other without doubt.
- Members should be polite to each other and other players. Remember that you are a representative of Daoine Sidhe.
- All cheats/trainers/hacks are forbidden.
- All members of Daoine Sidhe should bear the DS-tag (-DS or (DS)) on all games, this includes account-names and character-names.
- Members should use either MSN or ICQ to be able to contact each other.(mIRC is a possible option aswell on irc.quakenet.org #DaoineSidhe)
Note: We dislike it if people join a second clan/guild/community on the same game if they joined Daoine Sidhe already.
The mission of Daoine Sidhe
The mission is a clanwide guideline with basic values for Daoine Sidhe, that shows the identity of the clan as an online organisation.
Daoine Sidhe creates involvement with and commitment to the online being of the organisation throughout games and communities covered, by giving all members the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills based on their individual preferences.
The goals of Daoine Sidhe
The goals are clanwide activities that Daoine Sidhe wishes to develop with the intention to achieve structured progress, stability, and durability.
1. Divisions are created and maintained to attract more members; both those who are mainly interested in gaming and those who want to add to the organisation on a higher level.
2. Solid recruitment programs select members that are interested in more than gaming alone, and introduce these members to DS as an organisation.
3. Institutes are created and maintained to form a solid body of knowledge about online gaming and management of online (gaming) organisations, in order to support members that wish to develop their skills as gamers and members of DS as a community.
The strategy of Daoine Sidhe
The strategy is a clanwide guideline on how to achieve the goals as presented above.
Daoine Sidhe explicitly presents itself as an organisation that does more than the massive number of other clans and guilds online: its representatives throughout games and communities covered are aware of the fact that being different from the rest is a sign of progressiveness and an opportunity that needs to be exploited optimally.
Daoine Sidhe does not follow each hype in the world of online gaming, but profiles itself as an objective organisation with sufficient knowledge and experience, both on the level of gaming and on the level of management, to carefully choose its own path.
Hence the systems and operations of Daoine Sidhe as an organisation are qualitatively high, its profile is that of a leader not of a follower, and its members are both well informed and proud respresentatives of a solid organisation.
Standard rules for divisions
- Updates: once a month a division update is required, which should be placed on the Division Council's forum.
Updates should contain the following information:
- How many members a division has (split into active and inactive members),
- How many of these people were recruited throughout the last month,
- Which projects are running in the division (can be anything worth mentioning),
- What is being planned concerning these projects (deadlines and such),
- Whenever relevant: which projects ended throughout the month (including the results).
- Membership of the Division Council: see also The Ranks of Daoine Sidhe
At least the division leader must be member of the Division Council, and needs to stay informed about matters going on there.
- Divisions must have at least one (open) forum on the DS site, that is visible for all members in the clan.
Apart from this, closed forums (visible only to a selected group of people) are allowed too: the number should be discussed with the Division Council and/or the Community Council.
- Divisions must stick to the guidelines of founding, maintaining, and disbanding divisions, as presented in the "Templates".
- Divisions are allowed to add their own rules to the ones mentioned here. These rules may not contradict in any way with the standard rules.
The Division Council and/or the Community Council must be informed of additional rules, so that they can be checked on usefulness.
Other Clans
- Treat members of an allied clan as if they are members of Daoine Sidhe.
- Respect the rules and customs of other clans.
- When having a conflict with another clan, inform the King and Regent.
- When having a conflict with another clan, help your fellow clanmembers if needed.
